John J. Zodrow

John J. Zodrow is the principal shareholder with the law firm of ZODROW et al. P.C. in Denver. With 17 offices throughout Colorado, the law firm specializes in litigation and trial-related services, including administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediation conferences. Mr. Zodrow focuses on cases that present severe injuries or property damage resulting from the use of defective products, the conduct of negligence professionals, or other factors causing catastrophic results. He also has significant experience with property issues like contamination and underground storage tanks, and matters involving toxic chemical exposure, having worked in environmental law with both the State of Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division.

Mr. Zodrow started his career with large law firms employing hundreds of attorneys. He worked for Hall & Evans L.L.C. and Rothgerber, Appel, Powers and Johnson (now Rothgerber, Lyons and Powers) in Denver before venturing out on his own. He has handled cases ranging from County Court to the Supreme Court of the United States of America. With over 200 trials and arbitrations accomplished, Mr. Zodrow is a senior litigator focusing on multi-million dollar claims and defenses. A member of the exclusive Millionaire Advocates Club, Mr. Zodrow has handled or supervised 1,000 cases, primarily involving litigation, over the past seven years alone.

Mr. Zodrow has sat for five bar exams and is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. Before earning his law degree, Mr. Zodrow earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business and accounting. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Zodrow possesses a second master’s degree in environmental management and is finishing his Ph.D. (second doctorate) degree which involves an analysis of the uses of genetic information.

John F. X. McBride, Esq.

John McBride received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Carroll College and his law degree from the University of Denver. Mr. McBride is a former Certified Public Accountant, he is admitted in numerous federal courts and is licensed to practice law in all courts of the State of Colorado. Mr. McBride practices in the areas of complex trials, commercial litigation, employment litigation, environmental litigation, will contests and disputes, and securities law. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbel as a preeminent member of the bar with the highest ethical standards.

His background includes litigation and arbitration of complex commercial and regulatory matters and he has twenty years of experience with Denver law firms, large and small. Mr. McBride’s practices focus on trials in federal court including multi-district litigation, class action lawsuits, and claims for tens of millions of dollars.


Staff

Jeffrey A. Van Dehy, Paralegal:

Jeff Van Dehy is a certified paralegal, having graduated from Denver Paralegal Institute. He specializes in analysis of medical cases, including medical malpractice, hospital negligence, defective medical products and catastrophic accident cases with significant medical injuries. Mr. Van Dehy is an accomplished scientist and researcher who spent the early portion of his career at biotech and pharmaceutical companies involved in leading edge medical research. He is a former Senior Research Associate with Baxtor Hemoglobin Theraputics (formally Somatogen Inc.), in Boulder, a former Staff Research Associate with the Department of Biochemistry at the University of California at Berkeley, and a former research associate with the McArdle Cancer Research Laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin. He possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

 

Linda J. Evans, Paralegal:

As a senior litigation paralegal, Linda Evans is responsible for providing extensive pre-trial support to the firm’s trial attorneys. Ms. Evans has a background of over 18 years in regulatory compliance, complex litigation and arbitration matters, corporate and administrative law, and securities regulation. She provides assistance to the firm’s business attorneys and corporate clients. Ms. Evans is a graduate of the Denver Paralegal Institute and received her Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from Metropolitan State College. She has held high level paralegal and regulatory compliance positions at a number of prominent financial institutions, agencies, legal concerns and law firms.

 

Catherine A Kintner, Legal Secretary/Paralegal:

Catherine Kintner is an accomplished legal secretary with over 25 years of legal experience in New York, Seattle, and Austin as an executive secretary, legal secretary and paralegal. Ms. Kintner spent nearly three years working at the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Texas as a legal secretary prior to coming to work at the law firm. She also performs duties as a paralegal and legal assistant on personal injury and catastrophic accident cases, where she works closely with clients suffering from debilitating injuries and severe handicaps.

 

Susan K. Boyer, Legal Secretary/Administrative Assistant:

Having held administrative positions at many of Denver’s largest law firms, Susan Boyer is the legal secretary to attorney John Zodrow and is responsible for coordinating most of the firms administrative activities. Her former administrative roles were with Hall & Evans L.L.C., Rothgerber, Appel, Powers & Johnson L.L.C. (now Rothgerber, Johnson, & Lyons L.L.C.) And Cooley Godward L.L.C. At the law firm, she handles clients concerns about billing matters and coordinates our accounts receivable and accounts payable systems, which is conducted off-site. She also is responsible for file management at the firm and works closely with our new clients.
